Arthur L. Dawson: What we do as artists is not an easy job. It’s truly a labor of love. So when you spend your time and money to support the arts, we appreciate it! For over 20 years as a professional artist

I have attended, organized and participated

in numerous fine art and youth art programs

across the country. Utilizing my experience and

professional resources I developed a youth

art program that caters to the unique needs of

disadvantaged kids. The program has been

appropriately named the Youth Art Program

or YAP. Why YAP? The acronym is a pun for

talk, because that’s what the program is

designed to do, get kids talking or "Yappin"

about the arts.
